MeET Nancy
I have been working on Democratic campaigns and progressive non-profits since 2006. I started CampaignSick blog in 2010 as a way to create community among those in this space.
After receiving hundreds of emails from managers, employees, candidates for office, and job seekers I noticed there is a clear gap when it comes to guidance for navigating the progressive ecosystem with both empathy and professionalism. I work with organizations, campaigns, and individuals to make our collective work more effective, sustainable, and rewarding.
I hold an MPA and Master’s Certificate in Gender and Public Policy from Columbia University and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Leadership from Catalyst.

Managing in the progressive space can be daunting. How do we get the results we want while living up to our values? In addition many managers, especially in the political world, were promoted into their positions without formal training in the business of managing people. Let’s work together to come up with a custom solution that works for you and your organization.

I offer trainings on everything from designing a Get Out The Vote program to effective people management. My specialties are managing and hiring for progressive organizations, political campaign management, field/voter contact, train the trainer and managing with a DEI lens.

While is always free to post a job on my jobserve, my premium headhunting services are for those who want something a little more hands on. Having shared thousands of job posts and reviewed hundreds of resumes I know how to craft a job description that speaks to the right hire for you. I also offer feedback on current job postings for organizations that are not getting the quantity or quality of applicants they were expecting. For some organizations I will screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to save hiring managers time and put forward only the best applicants. Finally, I can leverage my extensive national network of talented, passionate professionals to proactively identify candidates who would be a good fit for your position. Contact me to come up with a package that makes sense for you.

It is always free to join my jobserve. However since it has grown to hundreds of subscribes it is not possible for me to personally advise every subscriber who reaches out. For $50 per session, I will review your resume and cover letter and give in-text commentary as to how you can strengthen your application materials for jobs in our field.
